Our Story | YEI ATELIERY

YEI ATELIERY began with a quiet belief  that

original oil paintings can speak through presence, not noise.

It was born from a long-held respect for oil painting not as decoration alone, but as a way of preserving feeling, memory, and human presence.

At the heart of the brand is the studio practice of Yang Huaxi, a Chinese oil painter whose work moves between portraiture, still life, and landscape. Over many years, his painting has followed a quiet path: slow observation, careful structure, and a lasting attention to light, atmosphere, and inner emotion.

Rather than seeking spectacle, Yang Huaxis work is grounded in restraint. His paintings often begin from ordinary subjects a figure, a flower, a corner of light, a remembered scene and gradually unfold through layers of oil paint into something deeper, quieter, and lasting.YEI ATELIERY grew from this way of working. It is not only a gallery name, but an extension of a painters belief: that art can live with people slowly, and continue revealing itself over time.

Rooted in an Eastern sensibility and shaped through the discipline of classical oil painting, the brand brings together feeling, structure, and craftsmanship. It values originality, patience, and the emotional presence of works made to be lived with not consumed quickly.

The Mark

The YEI ATELIERY mark is formed from two traditional Chinese characters.

On the left is the character for painting.

On the right is the character for joy.

Together, they express a simple idea:

To paint from joy, and to find joy through painting.

Rather than serving as decoration alone, the mark reflects the spirit of the studio a quiet and enduring relationship between painting and the inner life behind it.

At YEI ATELIERY, we hope to share works that carry more than image alone. We share paintings that hold time, observation, and a quiet inner life and that bring depth, warmth, and meaning into everyday spaces.
