An original contemporary landscape painting by Yang Huaxi inspired by a lotus pond. Strong blue water contrasts with green and yellow vegetation, giving this work a more vivid color structure than many of the artist’s quieter landscapes. Reflections and plant forms are simplified into broad shapes and layered brushwork.
