Woman in White Headscarf is an original female portrait painting by Yang Huaxi, depicting a Buyi woman in side profile wearing a soft white headscarf.

The pale head covering becomes the strongest visual element in the composition, set against a muted and atmospheric background. Soft edges and restrained colour give the painting a quiet, almost reflective mood.

Rather than emphasizing costume or decoration, Yang Huaxi keeps attention on the woman’s profile, expression, and presence. The result is a portrait that feels observed rather than staged, combining cultural identity with a calm and timeless approach to figurative painting
