A quiet interior unfolds around a bookshelf, where flowers, books, a ceramic teapot, a wooden chair, and a piece of yellow fabric share the same lived-in space.

Rather than arranging these objects as a formal still life, Yang Huaxi paints them as they might naturally remain in a room. The bookshelf gives structure to the composition, while the flowers and yellow fabric bring warmth and movement into the quiet interior.

Painted in oil on canvas, this original interior still life painting reflects Yang Huaxi’s long-standing interest in books, everyday objects, and the traces of daily life. It belongs to his Book Fragrance Collection, a body of still life oil paintings exploring reading, memory, objects, and lived spaces.

Perfect for:
Private collections, reading rooms, libraries, studies, living spaces, and interiors where art is meant to be lived with over time.
