Miao Women in Profile is an original figurative oil painting by Yang Huaxi, depicting several Miao women arranged closely together and viewed largely in profile.
The overlapping figures create a layered rhythm of faces, silver ornaments, and traditional clothing. Rather than presenting a single focal portrait, Yang Huaxi builds the work through repetition and quiet variations between the figures.
Part of the Miao Women series, the painting brings together figurative observation, group composition, and the visual language of traditional Miao silver adornment.
