Together in the Field is an original group portrait painting by Chinese artist Yang Huaxi, depicting several women seated together in an open landscape.

The painting is built around companionship rather than formal posing. The women sit close to one another, yet each has her own posture, expression, and direction of attention.

Against the broad landscape, their clothing and individual gestures create small points of colour and movement. Yang Huaxi balances the group with the surrounding field, allowing the figures to belong naturally to the environment rather than dominate it.

The scene feels observed rather than arranged — a quiet moment shared between people before life moves on again.
